10 Creative Valentine’s Day Gifts To Give To Your Special Someone
1. Photo Album
I think a photo album is the most fun and easiest Valentine’s Day gift on this list. All you have to do is print the best photos of you with your giftee and put them into a photo album. That’s it!
You can go the extra mile and include stickers or comments too but the main part of the gift is the collection of all your photos in one place. Then both of you can flip through the album and reminisce about the memories together.
2. Chocolate Gift Basket
Okay, maybe I lied. A chocolate gift basket shouldn’t be too difficult to assemble either.
You’ll need to purchase all the chocolates that they like. Or if they don’t like chocolate then you can purchase other sweets or foods they enjoy. If your giftee isn’t into food gifts either (but seriously, who isn’t??), then you could use self-care products or any other things that they have an interest in.
Once you have all their goodies, you can place them in a basket in an orderly and cute fashion, tie a bow to the basket, and voila! You have a Valentine’s Day Gift Basket.
3. Snail Mail Love Letter
Snail mail is just sending a letter through the mail from your house to their house if you both don’t live together.
I sent a letter for a birthday once and I thought it was semi-fun and special. Imagine how special they will feel when they see in their inbox an unexpected letter from one of their favorite people.
When you write this letter, you could write about how much love you have for this person, why you love them so much, how special they are, etc etc.
Sending snail mail is simple but small can still go a long way. If you think a letter isn’t enough, you could add a printed photo of you two or a gift card to their favorite place. Or both!
4. Write 52 Reasons I Love You (W/ a Deck of Cards)
I’m sure you can guess that it’s 52 reasons because there are 52 cards in a deck. You write your little whys on small sheets of paper and glue or tape them to one side of the card deck (probably the number/face side).
This creative gift is probably the most difficult one of them all in my opinion. I have actually done this gift before and I had a hard time thinking of 52 reasons I love my person. (You can guess, this relationship didn’t work out in the end.)
If you are able to easily write down 52 reasons why you love your person, then you know that your relationship with this person is solid AND you have a gift to give them.
The great thing about this gift is that whenever your person misses you or thinks about you, they can reach for these cards, look at your handwriting, and read about the nice compliments you had to say about them.
You don’t have to use a deck of cards if you don’t want to either. Creating a box of letters telling the 52 reasons why you love this person works too.

5. Buy 100 Dates Bucklet List Poster From Uncommon Goods
I think the 100 Dates Bucket List Poster from Uncommon Goods was such a great and fun creation on their part. Uncommon Goods has other bucket list posters such as movies bucket lists, places bucket lists, videogames bucket lists, etc etc.
For Valentine’s Day, the 100 Dates bucket lists would be a great gift to give because every time you and your partner do an activity together or try a new activity together, you can interact with this poster and scratch it off to reveal the image underneath. It also gives you date ideas to go on next if you both do not know what to do.
If you want to make it more personal, you can write the date of when you both did the activity too.
6. Home-Made Picture Collage on a Canvas
I have made plenty of picture collages on canvases back in high school for my friends and you could never go wrong with them.
Canvas picture collages are when you print out a bunch of photos of you and the giftee and creatively place them all over the canvas to summarize the memories that you two share together.
Obviously, this idea only works if you have a lot of pictures with them. But if you don’t have a lot of pictures with them, you can use those few pictures you have and write notes of you remembering the moments and how you feel about them.
For some extra spice, you can add doodles and stickers that are Valentine’s Day themed or relate to their personality. I also like to finish off this project with a few coats of mod podge. It gives the overall canvas a glossy finished look. The mod podge will ensure the pictures and stickers stay in place too.
7. Box of Date Ideas
Creating a box of date ideas for you and your partner would be such a fun and cute idea because you’ll always have something to do when you don’t have anything to do.
There are plenty of different ways to create this gift. You could have a box with lots of mini envelopes with written date ideas in them or you could use a jar and write the date ideas on popsicle sticks.
I know my boyfriend and I find ourselves sitting around all day with no date ideas so we might benefit from a box or jar of date ideas.
If you decide to create this box of date ideas and need date ideas to write down, you can check out my post on 21+ fun date ideas.
8. Box of Open When… Letters
I don’t know about you but I love the idea of the “open when…” letters. I’ve seen partners give them to each other and I’ve seen parents give them to their kids in the event they pass away (sorry too sad).
But for Valentine’s Day, having a box of “Open When…” letters would be a very personal gift because you could write down things like “open when I gave you a really good gift” or “open when we went on our first plane together” or “open when we finally get married”. Things like that.
Just talking about this idea is making me want to create this for my boyfriend. He reads my blog posts, but I might still make it anyway.
9. Baked Sweets
Baked sweets are never a bad idea. Especially if your giftee isn’t big on chocolate. You can make brownies, cookies, pie, a cake, or any other dessert that fits your giftee’s sweet tooth. If you’re lazy, there are tons of pre-made desserts sold at your local grocery stores after the New Year’s celebration.
For me, I love the Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix. It’s simple. It’s not from scratch. But it is TASTY.
So if you can’t think of any gift ideas or want to give something that is edible, make or buy your person some baked sweets.
10. Customized Jewelry
Customized jewelry is another fun and easy way to give your giftee a customized and personal gift.
With customized jewelry, you could put a little message, engrave their name onto it, or choose a symbol or figure that pertains to you and your relationship with this person.
Two years ago, I gave my boyfriend a bracelet with a Morse code message engraved into it. Obviously, I won’t tell you what the message says but that’s the entire point of why this bracelet was a cute idea. Only he and I know what the morse code message means.
If your giftee isn’t interested in jewelry, you can do customized mugs, clothes, or cases. I just thought jewelry was a cute idea because the giftee can wear it all the time and will indirectly have you with them at all times.
Ending Note
Those are the 10 creative Valentine’s Day gift ideas that I think you should give to your partner on this special day. Not only will you be happy to have given them something that you put all your hard work, sweat, and tears into, but you get to see them smile because of you too.
I hope you liked this list and use one of these ideas.
Let me know in the comments what other creative gifts you have thought of or given. I can’t keep giving the same gifts every year, you know? Give me more ideas and have a great day!
